Omera holds your working engagement record. Its AI features process relevant content through external AI services. Sharing with a consulting firm is a separate workflow.

What you bring in
Different workflows use different information. Here is what happens in the main intake paths.
Paste text for AI-assisted extraction. Review the suggested commitments, decisions, and follow-up, and choose what to save. The engagement record can retain supporting excerpts with the reviewed items.
Set up forwarding to your engagement’s Omera address and choose allowed senders. Incoming message text is stored so you can review the conversation in Inbox.
Scout Work reads content from the files you add in your browser. The extracted content is sent to Omera for the task; the original file is not uploaded by this workflow.
AI processing & review
AI features send relevant information to external AI providers to perform the requested work. Scout Work can use recent engagement records and initiatives, your instructions, supplied document text, and the conversation and drafts for that assignment.
AI output can be wrong. Human review remains part of the workflow.
Access & firm visibility
Access to a Scout task and visibility on a firm’s Bench serve different purposes.
Scout Work requires a signed-in account and checks access to the selected engagement. Its task workspace is associated with the individual operator.
Bench brings together engagement indicators and explicitly shared records. Source emails, transcripts, private drafts, and unshared working records stay outside the Bench view.
Consultants can deliberately include selected working-record excerpts in shared updates. A check-in is previewed and approved for a named relationship owner; other Bench information may be visible within the firm.

Scout Work lets you delete its active working materials. When finishing, you can choose to retain final deliverables and delete those separately later.
These controls apply to Scout Work materials. Retention by AI providers and in backups is a separate part of a data review.
